Tried everyone and still in pain? Try Verve Massage, new to Everton Hills.

Today I’m sharing an update on the lovely Sam Deveson, owner of Verve Massage. Sam is a Qualified Myotherapist and Remedial Massage Therapist. Verve Massage has recently moved and is now open at a new location at Shop 20, Everton Shopping Village, 77 Camelia Avenue, Everton Hills.

Samantha Deveson has a wealth of experience and can help you physically feel and function better through massage and myotherapy.

Sam provides physical therapy to families (children from 2 years old, to Adults 90 years old) for a range of conditions including: stress, depression, bipolar, hashimotos, hypermobility, spinal muscular atrophy, cerebral palsy, anxiety, insomnia, fibromyalgia, lupus, chronic fatigue, arthritis, tendinopathies, plantar fasciopathy, post-cancer & stroke rehabilitation, sports injuries, bursitis, back/neck/jaw pain, joint restrictions/injuries/pain, pregnancy, oedema, muscle pain.

Sam can also help people perform and function better in sport, day to day activities, and at work.

Prior to working in the physical therapy field, Sam worked in crisis and emergency management for 17 years.

Myotherapy (Musculoskeletal therapy) is an evidenced-based and a preventative form of therapy helping you move & feel better for the long term. It bridges the gap between remedial massage incorporating movement screening, soft tissue therapy, joint & spinal mobilisation, dry needling, cupping, TENS, kinesio & rigid taping, corrective & functional exercise programs.

Remedial massage uses a number of soft tissue modalities to relieve your muscle pain.

Sam offers a fortnightly stretch & exercise class incorporating Feldenkrais, yoga, Pilates, capoeira, weights & resistance bands.

She also has some great stock for pain relief, better sleep & to assist with your exercise programs.

Sam loves being a Northside business working with and supports the local community in many ways. She has formed a meetup group called Inner North Brisbane Meet Up to connect the local community.

In addition to this, she is a member of the Now Business Network which aims to support the local community through fundraising and connecting local businesses.

A percentage of every treatment Sam does goes to Joining Hands, a social enterprise providing allied health services to our homeless and vulnerable people. Once a month she represents Joining Hands at Brisbane Youth Service providing physical therapy to young vulnerable mothers.

Sam’s vision for the future is to establish a multi-modality clinic centered around movement. So many of our issues in society today stem from lack of movement whether it be from trauma, self-image, an inability to be who we want to be, not understanding how to manage our structure to achieve what we desire or physical/mental disability. Sam’s dream is to help as many people as possible overcome these obstacles and enjoy movement & better health!
