Local Figures and Identities Achieving Amazing Results

Local figures and identities achieving amazing results often quietly go unknown and we have some incredibly community focused people walking among us. One passionate local identity is well-known Real Estate Agent Madeleine Hicks.

Most locals know Madeleine and her butterfly logo. However, there is much more to Madeleine than just real estate. Madeleine spends every spare moment she has giving back to the community and making the world a better place.

Madeleine is the driving force behind the NOW Business Network. Their motto is Business Building Community and her philosophy is that communities can support each other be it through business, schools, charitable groups or local residents wanting to give back. Everyone has something to give and make where they live a better place. Madeleine always says, “Sharing is Caring”.

When there’s a call out for those in need Madeleine is always there be it a local school community or charity, a networking group or organising many projects such as the recent appeal for dog food for Farmers suffering throughout the drought and not being able to feed their dogs; or over the last 9 years the FREE Easter Egg Hunt and celebrations locally; letters from Santa; helping and contributing to the Bunya Lions FREE Christmas Carols in the Park which is on Saturday 15 December this year at Mitchelton (if you wish to give to the Bunya Lions Christmas Carols in the Park the go fund me page is https://www.gofundme.com/lions-carols-in-the-park ) and the Smith Family Appeal.

So, with this in mind celebrating Christmas is one of the best times of the year and giving back at Christmas to those less fortunate is a small way we can all celebrate, share the love and put a smile on a child’s face. Madeleine has again put the call out to the local community to do that by supporting the Smith Family’s Toy and Book Drive.

The Smith Family’s Toy and Book Drive is an opportunity for everyone to help out and the idea is simple. If you only do one thing for someone else this Christmas please consider this appeal. I know my kids always loved picking out something for a kid that they knew would love it Christmas morning and dropping it off under the donation trees. It goes a long way to teaching them about the true Christmas spirit by doing these small things.

Donating a toy or book is easy and you can drop it off to Madeleine’s office at 2/6 Trouts Road, Everton Park before Tuesday 4 December. Let’s share the love this Christmas.
