Local Business Spotlight: Plumbaround, Albany Creek

I love local family businesses that have a vested interest in their local community and are always giving back. Local Albany Creek family owned and operated business Plumbaround is once such business. They are local, personable, knowledgeable, informative and generous.

Husband and Wife team Warwick (Woz) and Peita Royal are committed community members and are great supporters of Brothers Junior Rugby League Club. They willingly give their spare time by encouraging young children to participate in Rugby League both in the school setting and the local football clubs. They also support a number of charities and community based groups including the NOW Business Group. These groups donate to Young Care Australia, Meals on Wheels, local schools, Downs Syndrome Queensland and chaplaincy programs in schools to name a few.

Plumbaround services Albany Creek and the greater Brisbane area with plumbing, drainage and gas fitting and whilst only being 3 ½ years old they have over 15 years of experience in the plumbing industry. They have carried out work in all areas of plumbing from residential maintenance to light commercial units, shop fit outs, new home dwellings and gas works. Plumbaround pride themselves on problem resolutions and solutions.

Woz and Peita love the culture on the northside of Brisbane and have strong family ties to the area. They believe in investing in their community.

Their vision for the future is to continue a high quality of service and expand their horizons. They want to improve health and sanitary services to the populous through knowledge and industry experience which enables their clients to live well and stay well. Peita said “if we could we would love to be able to ensure that the rest of the world could have access to fresh water, food and sanitary systems that those of us living in western civilisation are privileged to have”.

They are offering anyone who is located on the north side of Brisbane and who also follows and/or likes their Facebook page that they will have their call out/service fee valued at $60, completely discounted. Whilst they are open from 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, Plumbaround are also available for emergency call outs outside of these hours.

Between them Woz and Peita are proud parents of 6 absolutely lovely kids. One of their kids, Zane Traynor, at the moment is trying hard to raise money to support the cost of a trip to the USA to play futsal for Australia. Zane has been selected for the Under 11 team and he is very excited to be representing Australia. He is keen to help his parents and has been collecting recyclable from friends and neighbours and he also has a GoFundMe page to help him in addition to all the extra chores he is doing. If you can some $ to help Zane and/or he is even willing to collect your recyclables he would be most appreciative.

This morning, words by the famous Winston Churchill rang out at my local business group and reminded me that “We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give”. Support for Zane would be a wonderful thing to do and more than likely you’ll be supporting a sporting star of the future. GoFundMe
